# Document types

On this screen, users distinguish client documents from audit documents and see how each type differs in editing and visibility. Engyon has two types of documents:

* Documents provided by a client
* Documents added as evidence to a procedure

### Documents provided by the client

These documents are normally uploaded by the client (the auditor can also do this) for file requests, and each file request is linked to one or more procedures. It is possible to upload multiple documents to a single file request.

Documents can be found in two ways:

1. By looking in the <kbd>Sources</kbd> section of the application, under the <kbd>Provided by client</kbd> tab. You can then use the search function, or filter by status, assigned users, documents that have not yet been approved, documents without a reference, or permanent file requests
2. By opening the sources page within a procedure (top right); you will then see the file requests with documents that are linked to that specific procedure

Documents provided by the client cannot be edited by the auditor.

### Audit Documents (internal documents)

These are documents that have been added by the auditor in procedures and are visible in the procedure and in the Audit Documents tab in the sources screen. You remove the document from a procedure with the trash icon (<i class="fa-trash">:trash:</i>) at the reference. If that is the last reference, the file is deleted as well.

### **Creating audit documents from documents provided by the client with one click**

A copy icon (<i class="fa-copy">:copy:</i>) is included for a document provided via a file request. When you click this, the document is copied as an audit document. The document is now available twice, as a document provided by the client (not editable) and as an audit document (editable).
