# Settings

On this screen, users can view and — with the correct permissions — adjust the audit settings of the audit, such as work package, period, team, and audit units. On the settings page, all choices made during the creation of the audit are listed. Below you will find the choices with explanations:

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Audit name

Hover over the audit name. The icon (pencil) <i class="fa-pencil">:pencil:</i>appears only for an <kbd>Engagement Leader</kbd>, and not in an archived audit. Click the icon to change the name. How that icon works on other names is in [Operations](/engyon/en/reference/operations.md).

See [Creating an audit](/engyon/en/admin/organisation/create-an-audit.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Work package

During the creation of the audit, a specific work package was chosen. At <kbd>version</kbd>, you can see which version is in this audit. With the correct permissions, you can perform a content update from here: see [Performing a content update](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/audit/performing-a-content-update.md).

See [Creating an audit](/engyon/en/admin/organisation/create-an-audit.md) for the choice of the work package, and [Create file request](/engyon/en/admin/organisation/preferences.md) for what ends up in the audit from the firm settings.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Language

This is the language of the audit in which the language models communicate and the content used in the audit.

See [Creating an audit](/engyon/en/admin/organisation/create-an-audit.md). You set the interface language in [My profile](/engyon/en/reference/my-profile.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Audit period

This is the selected audit period that is recorded in the audit.

See [Creating an audit](/engyon/en/admin/organisation/create-an-audit.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Audit type

This is the type of audit. This is the selection between stand-alone and consolidated audit.

See [Creating an audit](/engyon/en/admin/organisation/create-an-audit.md) and [Group audits](/engyon/en/reference/group-audits.md). The audit type cannot be converted after creation: [Wrong audit created](/engyon/en/frequently-asked-questions/setup/wrong-audit-created.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Linked audits

This shows the linked audits in the past.

See [Linking an audit](/engyon/en/reference/group-audits/linking-audits-and-procedure-steps.md) for linked component audits, and [Rolling forward an audit](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/audit/roll-forward-an-audit.md) for a previous audit.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Currency

This shows the currency used in the audit.

See [Creating an audit](/engyon/en/admin/organisation/create-an-audit.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### File request definitions

This is the chosen financial reporting framework, for example `NL GAAP Categorical` or `NL GAAP Functional`. You only see the value here; it cannot be changed.

See [Creating an audit](/engyon/en/admin/organisation/create-an-audit.md). When rolling forward, you choose the framework again: [Rolling forward an audit](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/audit/roll-forward-an-audit.md).
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## auditor team

In the top right, you see <kbd>auditor team</kbd> where you can invite new team members. Click on <i class="fa-plus">:plus:</i><kbd>add team member</kbd>. When you are allowed to invite someone from another audit firm, you choose <kbd>Select organisation</kbd> or <kbd>Audited organisation</kbd>. Otherwise, Engyon immediately opens the screen to add a colleague from your own organisation. With <kbd>Select organisation</kbd>, you choose a colleague who already belongs to your audit firm, with a role and optionally a <kbd>label</kbd>, for example `IT auditor`. You add someone from another audit firm, who already has an account, via <kbd>Audited organisation</kbd>. This does not invite that person to Engyon. That person only appears in this team after the invitation has been accepted, with the name of that audit firm under their name. See [Inviting a user from another organisation](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/audit/invite-a-user-from-another-organisation.md).

In a group audit, you need that role on every audit in the network, including the linked audits. Without a role there, you cannot perform actions such as ingesting figures, even if you have, for example, `senior assistant` on the group head. If the audit is at the top of the network, you will see the icon (tree) <i class="fa-tree">:tree:</i>(`Assign users to linked audits`) next to <kbd>add team member</kbd>. With this, Engyon copies the roles of the auditor team from each audit unit to the linked audit.

If you invite someone while the audit is on an audit unit via the icon (network) <i class="fa-network-wired">:network-wired:</i>, that person only sees that audit unit. See [Inviting a Component auditor](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/audit/invite-a-component-auditor.md).

A colleague with the role `Engagement leader`, `Auditor` or `senior assistant` can change the role of another team member:

1. Open <kbd>Settings</kbd> and go to <kbd>auditor team</kbd>.
2. Click on the pencil icon next to the team member's name.
3. Choose the new role and adjust the <kbd>label</kbd> if necessary.

You cannot change your own role yourself: there are no edit or delete buttons on your own line. Ask a colleague with one of the above roles to do this for you. If you are alone in the audit, first invite a colleague via <kbd>add team member</kbd>.

If you are the only `Engagement leader` in the audit, your role can only be changed after a second `Engagement leader` has been added. In an archived audit, you can no longer change roles of the auditor team.

See [Roles and rights](/engyon/en/reference/settings/roles-and-permissions.md). Inviting Engyon into the audit is covered in [Asking for support from Engyon](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/audit/request-support-from-engyon.md).

## client team

In the top right, you see the <kbd>client team</kbd> tab. Here are the client users who have access to **this audit**. Someone must first belong to the client organisation before you can place them on the audit.

Click on <kbd>Client</kbd>. What you see next depends on your rights on **the client** of this audit (not on your role in the auditor team):

| What you see | What you can do | Requirement |
| --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Two choices: <kbd>Audited organisation</kbd> and <kbd>invite new user</kbd> | Invite someone new to the client organisation **and** link them to this audit, or link an existing client user | <kbd>Client admin</kbd> on **this** client |
| Choose an existing client user directly (no selection screen) | Only link someone who already belongs to the client organisation | Right to assign client users to the audit (for example <kbd>Auditor</kbd> or <kbd>senior assistant</kbd> on the audit), **without** <kbd>Client admin</kbd> on the client |

<kbd>Client manager</kbd> on a client is **not** the same as <kbd>Client admin</kbd>: only <kbd>Client admin</kbd> can invite someone new to the client organisation. If inviting works in one audit and not in another, compare your role per client under <kbd>Options</kbd> → <kbd>Organisation</kbd>.

{% hint style="info" %}
Just changed a role on the client? Refresh the page; it may take a few minutes before you see <kbd>invite new user</kbd>.
{% endhint %}

See [Setting up client access](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/sources/set-up-client-access.md) and [Roles and rights](/engyon/en/reference/settings/roles-and-permissions.md).

## audit units

Click on <kbd>audit units</kbd> to select the correct entities and components within the group. Here you can link specific audits of subsidiaries that are also subject to audit. You indicate here what audit relationship exists between the group and the other components.

See [Audit units](/engyon/en/reference/group-audits/audit-units.md), [Linking an audit](/engyon/en/reference/group-audits/linking-audits-and-procedure-steps.md) and [Complex structures ('Christmas tree structures')](/engyon/en/reference/group-audits/complex-structures-tree-structures.md).

## materiality

Click on <kbd>materiality</kbd> to record the materiality as it has been calculated.

See [Recording materiality](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/materiality-and-scope/recording-materiality.md). For group audits, see [Allocating materiality to components](/engyon/en/reference/group-audits/assign-materiality-to-components.md).

## Configuration

Under <kbd>Configuration</kbd>, you will find the settings of the work package. <kbd>Engagement quality review is recorded in the audit</kbd> turns on the EQR procedures in this audit. Only someone with the role `Engagement quality reviewer` can perform those procedures.

See [Recording engagement quality review](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/audit/record-engagement-quality-review.md).
