# Review notes
On this screen, users can view and follow up on review notes within steps and at the audit level. Review notes are created within steps via the review notes tab in the left column. Via review notes in the left column, you continue to see the activities in the right column while following up on a review note.
On a procedure, the notes are in groups. Notes for the entire procedure are at the top, followed by one group per activity that has notes. The number of open notes and total notes is shown after the group name. A group can be collapsed.
In the Dashboard, you will find an overview of the outstanding review notes under review notes. In the Closing screen, you will find the total number of outstanding review notes.
