# Navigation

Icons and fields that work the same across many screens in Engyon.

On many screens, users can operate Engyon in the same way, so that a pencil icon, a text field, or switching audit units does not need to be figured out per screen.

## Two columns

The context is on the left: details, status, and settings. The work is on the right, such as procedures or a list. Which tabs those are differs per screen.

## Change name

Hover over a name. The icon (pencil) <i class="fa-pencil">:pencil:</i>appears. Use it to change that name. This applies to every name in Engyon: a file, a title, or another object. The audit name on [Settings](/engyon/en/reference/settings.md) is an exception: only an <kbd>Engagement Leader</kbd> sees the icon, and not in an archived audit. The list under <kbd>Clients</kbd> has no pencil. Click the client name. On the left, click the name itself. That works when you are <kbd>Client admin</kbd> on that client. A standard financial statement line item has no pencil. Neither do the code and the description of an imported general ledger account.

## Text field

A text field saves formatting as text. While you write, you see that text, not the formatted result.

* One asterisk around a word is italics. Two asterisks is bold.
* The buttons <kbd>B</kbd>, <kbd>I</kbd>, and <kbd>H</kbd> put that formatting in the text. You see underlining as tags, for example around a name.
* A table that you add also appears as text in the field.

## View result

Click on the icon (eye) <i class="fa-eye">:eye:</i>to the right of <kbd>B</kbd>, <kbd>I</kbd>, and <kbd>H</kbd>. You will then see the text as it is formatted.

This eye icon is on the toolbar of the text field. An eye in a list filters that list. An eye with a finding determines whether client users see it.

## Status

You change the status of a procedure or a file request by clicking on the status bar. Which status follows next is indicated at that procedure or file request.

## Switching audit units

In a group audit, the icon (network) <i class="fa-network-wired">:network-wired:</i>(tooltip `Navigate within the network of audits`) is located at the top left, next to the name of the audit. Use it to switch between group and component. It is the same audit, on a different audit unit. Figures, scope, and the team belong to the level you are on.

## Browser tab

Inside an audit, the browser tab shows the audit name, then >, then the name of the screen. Open audits are easier to tell apart. A screen without an audit keeps the title it already had.
