# Importing consolidation statement

You can ingest the consolidation sheet from `Procedures` or from `Sources`.

Within `Procedures`, go to `General` under `Execution` and select the procedure `Audit consolidation.` From this procedure, you can open and publish the source request for the consolidation sheet.

{% hint style="info" %}
On the page [Consolidation sheet and trial balance templates](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/importing-figures/consolidation-sheet-and-trial-balance-templates.md), templates for consolidation sheets, including example data, can be found that can be used when practicing importing consolidation sheets in a test audit.
{% endhint %}

You can also search for the Consolidation Sheet source request directly from `Sources`.

1. Publish the source request by clicking on the status bar and then upload the consolidation sheet. Use the Engyon template for this.
2. When the document is included in the audit, click on the title of the loaded source to open the source details screen.
3. Within the details screen, you will see the play icon (<i class="fa-play">:play:</i>) at the top right. Click on this and then select `Load financial statements` to fill in the configuration for loading the financial statements.
4. Configure the ingestion of the consolidation sheet by indicating how the columns in the file map to the required data. Set the fields correctly so that Engyon can read the figures properly and link them to the correct audit units. See [training module 5](/engyon/en/training/training-english/module-5-importing-financial-data-scoping-and-materiality.md) for detailed instructions regarding importing a consolidation sheet. A line item that is nil, leave empty. A 0 counts as an amount. If you then ingest a trial balance where that line item is missing, Engyon sees a difference: the consolidation sheet is at 0 and the trial balance is empty.

{% hint style="info" %}
Figures for a coupled audit are included when you turn on <kbd>Ingest data for underlying coupled audits</kbd> under <kbd>Options</kbd> and ingest the consolidation sheet again (`Sources` → the file title → play icon <i class="fa-play">:play:</i>→ <kbd>Ingest financial statement</kbd>). Without that option, the coupled audit can show only eliminations.

If the coupled audit is itself a group, also select <kbd>Consolidated data</kbd> for that entity, not only <kbd>Unconsolidated data</kbd>.

A legal entity that appears in the file but is not an audit unit on this audit has no column to map. Engyon does not ingest that column. You do not need an audit unit for every entity in the consolidation sheet in order to ingest the file. Audit units at the top are still required to share risks and procedures in a tree structure. See [Complex structures](/engyon/en/reference/group-audits/complex-structures-tree-structures.md).

<kbd>Propagate the selected scope to coupled audits</kbd> on <kbd>Scope</kbd> copies the scope, not the figures. If you work on the general ledger in the coupled audit, ingest a trial balance there.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
All entities that have other entities below them in the legal structure (and are therefore a parent), receive an 'eliminations' row in which the elimination column of the relevant entity can be mapped.\
You can check which entities are parents via: <kbd>Options</kbd> (bottom left) → <kbd>Organisation</kbd> → <kbd>Clients</kbd> → relevant client → top right ‘<kbd>Entity</kbd>’. In the *Parent* column, you can then see if, and if so which entity is set as the parent.

Have you already ingested the trial balances? Map **only the elimination column** for the consolidation sheet. The other figures in the audit and the scope will then remain. If you ingest that column again later for the same date, Engyon overwrites the rows that are in the file again. A row that is no longer in the file stays. A numerical adjustment proposal at group level (elimination) can then be given a **Date**; see [Findings](/engyon/en/reference/findings.md#adjustments).
{% endhint %}

5. If the configuration is correct, click on `Ingest`.
6. If you want to ingest figures from multiple years from the same source, you can click the play icon (<i class="fa-play">:play:</i>) again. Set the configuration correctly and ingest the figures for the other years.
7. Checking the loaded figures is done in the `Checks` screen. There you will see the totals per line item so that you can compare them with the financial statements or consolidation sheet. If figures from both a consolidation sheet or financial statements and a trial balance have been loaded, you will see the totals from the trial balance when you click open the line item. When there is a difference between the total of a financial statement line item according to the consolidation sheet or financial statements and the trial balance, a ! is displayed after the value.\
   Furthermore, you will see the total sum of the assets and liabilities line items, so that you can check whether these are equal to each other.
8. Then go to the `Scope` screen via the navigation bar. Here you will find the ingested figures per audit unit.

{% hint style="info" %}
Do you want to delete consolidation sheet figures, or did you accidentally enter an incorrect date? Create a file with only the column names, without data. Ingest that file with the date of the figures you want to remove and turn on <kbd>Delete existing financial statement line item values</kbd> at the bottom.
{% endhint %}
