# Recording engagement quality review

The engagement quality reviewer records the EQR procedures in the audit.

The EQR procedures are in the audit so that the engagement quality reviewer can record their work there. Only someone with the role `Engagement quality reviewer` can perform these procedures.

You invite an engagement quality reviewer from another audit firm to this audit as an auditor. That person first needs access to Engyon as a user of their own audit firm. That organisation manages this access themselves. See [Inviting fellow auditors](/engyon/en/admin/organisation/inviting-auditors.md).

Next, invite that person via <kbd>Settings</kbd> → <kbd>Auditor team</kbd> → <kbd>add team member</kbd> → <kbd>Audited organisation</kbd>, with the role `Engagement quality reviewer`. This step does not invite the person to Engyon. See [Inviting a user from another organisation](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/audit/invite-a-user-from-another-organisation.md).

## Activating the EQR module

The setting <kbd>Engagement quality review is recorded in the audit</kbd> is located in <kbd>Settings</kbd> under <kbd>Configuration</kbd>. Set it to **Yes** if you want to use the EQR module to record the EQR procedures, findings and conclusions. You can later deactivate it again if necessary by setting this setting to **No**. As a result, an 'EQR' section will appear at the bottom of the procedure overview, containing the EQR work steps.

Checking that an EQR applies at activity 2 (quality safeguards) in work step <kbd>characteristics of the engagement</kbd> has no effect on activating the EQR module. This must always be done via the audit settings as described below.

## New audit

1. Open <kbd>Settings</kbd>.
2. Go to <kbd>Configuration</kbd>.
3. Set <kbd>Engagement quality review is recorded in the audit</kbd> to Yes. Hover over the value and click the icon (pencil) <i class="fa-pencil">:pencil:</i>.

## Existing audit

In an existing audit, the same setting applies, but the EQR content must first be in the audit.

1. Perform a content update (see [Performing a content update](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/audit/performing-a-content-update.md)).\
To do this, apply the changes in the 'procedures' category where 'EQR' is mentioned in the description under 'activation triggers', such as *fin\_nl\_2026:okb\_planning:okb\_materiality:activation\_trigger.* These are 32 changes (one for each EQR work step). By clicking the magnifying glass icon (<i class="fa-magnifying-glass">:magnifying-glass:</i>) next to the update, you can select all 32 and process them at once by clicking <kbd>Apply changes</kbd> in the top right.
2. Open <kbd>Settings</kbd> and go to <kbd>Configuration</kbd>.
3. Set <kbd>Engagement quality review is recorded in the audit</kbd> to Yes. Hover over the value and click the icon (pencil) <i class="fa-pencil">:pencil:</i>.
