# Inviting a Component auditor

You invite a `Component auditor` as an auditor on the audit unit, not via <kbd>client team</kbd>. There is no separate `Component auditor` role on a client user.

A colleague from your audit firm must first be a user of that organisation. Add them via <kbd>Options</kbd> → <kbd>Organisation</kbd> → <kbd>+ Auditor</kbd>. See [Inviting fellow auditors](/engyon/en/admin/organisation/inviting-auditors.md).

You invite someone from another audit firm without adding that person to your organisation. See [Invite a user from another organisation](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/audit/invite-a-user-from-another-organisation.md).

1. Open the group audit.
2. Click on the icon (network) <i class="fa-network-wired">:network-wired:</i>and select the audit unit for which this auditor is responsible.
3. Open <kbd>Settings</kbd> → <kbd>auditor team</kbd>.
4. Click on <kbd>add team member</kbd>, choose <kbd>Select organisation</kbd> and invite the person.

That auditor then only sees that audit unit, not the rest of the group audit.

File requests with `Source of the document` set to `Component auditor` are visible to the Component auditor together with the audit team. Client users do not see that request. The Component auditor uploads the file as an auditor. See [Managing and creating file requests](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/sources/manage-and-create-file-requests.md).
