# Incorrect date entered when importing figures

Question: The wrong date was entered when importing the figures, how do I solve this?

Answer: The best approach is to create a file with only the column names, without any data. Then select the date you incorrectly used during the import as the date, and at the bottom, enable <kbd>Delete existing general ledger account values</kbd>. Your imported figures will then be empty again.

For figures from a consolidation sheet, this button is called <kbd>Delete existing financial statement line item values</kbd>. See [Importing consolidation sheet](/engyon/en/how-to-guides/importing-figures/ingesting-consolidation-sheet.md).
