# Group without consolidation (BW2:408)

Question: We are auditing the financial statements of a holding entity and one or more subsidiaries, but the holding entity does not prepare consolidated financial statements. How do we set this up in

Answer: You have two options for this in Engyon:

* You create a standalone audit for each financial statement audit (opinion). In this case, you do not benefit from shared information and it costs 5 credits per audit.
* You create 1 group audit, with or without a linked engagement for one or more of the subsidiaries, where you issue an audit opinion on the standalone financial statements. This ensures that the audits can be read independently. Points to note are:

a. You should set the work steps focused on group procedures in the group audit to 'not applicable'.

b. You import figures per entity (e.g., from a trial balance).

c. You create the basic/minimal procedures in the **Typing** screen per component.
